Luxury properties are notable for their high standard of specification. And it's not just materials and finishes. These days, such homes are also likely to come with a complete set of high-performance appliances that feature the latest technology.
The new Waterfall Estate in Mosman, Sydney, developed by HVM Consultancy, features four freestanding villas that have been fully equipped with high-end Miele appliances. In keeping with the developer's desire to ensure no compromise in standards, the villas even come with refrigerators, wine coolers and laundry appliances.
Reza Vakili of HVM Consultancy says there is an expectation that the appliances in a high-quality development in a sought-after location will be of a similar standard.
"Miele appliances were specified for a number of reasons," he says. "They met our criteria in terms of performance and aesthetics they are a very appropriate choice for an $80,000 kitchen. But they were also a cost-effective option."
The kitchen shown on these pages features Miele Combiset cooktop units, a H 4271 BP 60cm pyrolytic oven and H 4020 BM 60cm combination oven microwave. Steam and odours are vented through the Miele DA 429-4 90cm Decor rangehood.
A Miele freestanding stainless steel refrigerator is paired with a matching wine cooler-freezer. The villa also features a Miele integrated dishwasher and laundry appliances.
