Entry is now open for 2024 TIDA Homes.
Please read the entry requirements, terms and conditions below before clicking through to the online entry form.
Entries close: Thursday, 3 October
There are three entrant categories:
• Architect
• Building Designer
• Interior Designer
Projects can be:
• New Homes – including single family homes, holiday homes etc
• Renovated Homes – including additions and alterations
• Interiors only
• Apartments
Entry is open to homes that were completed in 2023 and 2024.
There is no charge for entry – and you may submit more than one entry, but each entry must be on a separate entry form.
Once we receive your entry, we will email you a link so you can upload:
• hi-res image files
• plan(s)
• client brief/design rationale
Key dates:
Friday 16 August – entries open
Thursday 3 October – entries close
Thursday 14 November – results announced
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Entries must include:
1. PROJECT PHOTOGRAPHY
Please supply no less than 8 photographs of the entry project, suitable for publication, including exterior and interior views.
• Files must be at least 420mm x 297mm at 300dpi.
• Acceptable file types are hi-res jpg, tiff & eps
• Minimum megapixel camera: 16MP
For renovation projects, it would be helpful for judges if you include any ‘before’ images available. These do not need to have been professionally taken – snaps will do.
2. PLANS
- Please supply at least one detailed floor plan. Additional elevations and drawings may also be submitted, up to a maximum of 6
- For renovation projects, please also include before plans or drawings
- Maximum plan file size is 20MB per image.
- Acceptable file types are jpg, tiff, psd & pdf
nb DWG files can not be accepted.
3. CLIENT BRIEF/DESIGN RATIONALE
Up to 500 words outlining the main client requirements, any specific challenges and how these were overcome
You may supply your text as bullet points
Please supply as a Word doc or pdf
4. VIDEO
Entrants are encouraged to supply a 30-60 second video run-through of the project, which may be taken on a phone, as an aid to the judges as well as to be potentially posted to Trends social pages.
This is not a requirement for entry, and entrants who do not provide this video will not be penalised.
If you have had professional video produced of your project, this can also be included in your entry submission as an additional resource for judges, and may be included in any feature we produce on the project.
You can provide the video as a link to it uploaded on YouTube or Vimeo. Or, if it has not been uploaded to one of these sites, you can supply the video file at the same time as you supply the images.
JUDGING
Judges will assess entries on the following criteria:
- How the design fulfilled the requirements of the client’s brief
- How the design was developed in response to its site and surroundings
- Overall functionality – including creativity and space design
- Aesthetics – architectural style, detailing and materials
AWARDS & PRIZES
The following awards will be made, at the discretion of the judging panel:
- TIDA Architect-designed New Home
- TIDA Architect-designed Renovation
- TIDA Designer New Home
- TIDA Designer Renovation
- TIDA Interiors
The winners in each TIDA category will receive an extensive promotional package across Trends channels – including the trendsideas.com website, Trends eNewsletters, Trends social channels including Trends Facebook page with 135,000 followers, Trends Instagram, and partner channels.
The winners also proceed to the International section of the TIDAs, to be judged alongside winners of other awards programmes to find the 2024 TIDA International Home of the Year.
The judges, at their discretion, may also recognise Runners-up and Highly Commended entries.
All award recipients will receive a TIDA certificate and award logo to use in their own marketing and promotion.
