One Central Park, Sydney

Sydney's One Central Park has been named Asia & Australasia Regional Winner in the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Best Tall Buildings of 2014.Designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel and PTW Architects, the building notably uses hydroponics and heliostats to grow plants around its exterior.For the CTBUH, it "presages a future in which biomimicry is no longer a radical concept in architecture, while inverting a perception that tall buildings can only block light and rob the urban environment of natural greenery."One Central Park is now a finalist for Best Tall Building Worldwide 2014, which will be announced in November.
