Heart rimu timber features on the vaulted ceiling of the restored Knox Church in Christchurch. The wainscoting and floors are also rimu, while the timber columns are matai (black pine). The restoration included the removal of the floor to build new foundations for earthquake strengthening. The rimu boards were then put back into their original positions.
