The concept of the home as a shelter takes on a whole new meaning in this new house designed by architect-owner Taras Wolf. The top of the exterior is wrapped by a large rendered shell, which appears to hover above a base clad in thin Roman bricks a material commonly used in Asian countries. Steel-reinforced merbau timber battens provide a privacy screen at the front of the house.
