Military Brocade Alexander McQueen Hand-knotted Tibetan wool and silk

This dramatic design was originally conceived for an embroidered coat in 2001. The curled oriental serpent appears from a skull in the centre of a classical wreath of ferns, hand knotted in gold silk and set against a black background. The motif is raised and hand carved to emulate brocade on a military uniform.
