In this new kitchen, a breakfast bar in American white oak at one end of the stainless steel island helps to break up its length visually. Cabinetry on the back of the island is finished in a stainless steel-look Formica laminate. The range hood, also in oak, adds a warm note. The kitchen was designed by Sian Gillanders.
