The vanity was made longer and with two basins to provide plenty of room for children to share the hand washing and teeth cleaning duties. We also made this a subtle soft grey to complement the shadowing in the tiles. We made the shower as wide as possible to give more head space, taking into account the sloping ceiling, and enclosed it with glass to keep the water within this area. This space was finished off with a beautiful rainhead and rose option for showering. All tapware was supplied in brushed brass to complement and lift the beautiful ancient travertine tiles. We took out the large cumbersome fan and lights, repairing the ceiling hole and bevelled architraves with new timber and matching the stain. The new lighting was positioned to ensure good light over the mirrors and shower area. We also added a 2nd switch that allows a lovely soft mood lighting for restful nighttime showering or bathing. The new bathroom flows beautifully with the age of the house in a timeless sophisticated style.
