This kitchen was a team effort between owner and woodworking professionals R H Cabinetmakers – however, while the detailing shows the level of woodworking skill involved, so does stepping back and taking in the whole space

Having your kitchen cabinetry created by professionals RH Cabinetmakers ensures everything fits perfectly and you can maximise space with a fully customised cabinetry solution exactly where you need it. It also means you can achieve the level of design integrity that you require.

This Colonial-look kitchen features all the skilled detailing associated with the style. This includes 18mm custom wood doors and drawer fronts and panels finished with solid timber bead. The latter was machined by RH Cabinetmakers and glued onto the door face, then sprayed in a two-pot satin lacquer.

As part of the stand-out island design, RH Cabinetmakers also included 80mm square solid timber posts fitted to all corners of the island while the fridge and freezer doors are seamlessly integrated into the mix.

However, while the kitchen has a traditional look it is underpinned by contemporary functionality, with Blum Legrabox soft close drawers and Blum soft close hinges introduced for ease of use. The cabinet company also introduced the Blum Aventos lift up stays above fridge and freezer, ensuring the high cabinetry still offers easy access.

Even the rear pantry is a pleasure to access with a smooth sliding door separating it from the kitchen when required.

RH Cabinetmakers also undertook other cabinetry solutions in the same panelled colonial style. These include built-in dressing room cabinetry, a dresser with glass display, and comprehensive laundry wall cabinetry.
