Landmark Homes North Shore/Rodney – Winner – TIDA New Zealand Group Home Builder of the Year

A site with a steep 1 in 4 slope and geotechnical issues meant there was only a restricted buidling platform available for this single level home.

And while the view is spectacular, outdoor areas also needed protection from potentially strong winds.

Landmark Homes' solution was to organise the plan as three linked boxes that separate the home into distinct zones. 

By staggering the boxes, the view from each is maximised, while also creating sheltered outdoor living spaces.

The TIDA judges noted that the black box style of architecture used for the home gave it a truly contemporary feel, while it still retainied the warmth and welcome of a more traditional home.
