Large cedar-wrapped balconies on either side of the Corbel building in Christchurch capture the sun in the morning and afternoon. They also help to soften the look of the decorative perforated aluminium facade. To maximise space, the design team from Beca positioned the building in the centre of the site, which means the loading bay for the warehouse can double as a turning space for other vehicles.
