As the existing roofscape of this listed heritage home had to remain intact, the upper level had to be supported so as to demolish and rebuild beneath it. A new layout cleared away all the small rooms at the rear of the house, creating a large open plan living area with floor-to-ceiling windows to flood the back of the house with light and space.
