One factor was that the house was lacking a bathroom/shower on the ground floor despite there being a guest bedroom on this level. This arrangement had meant guests would have to enter an ensuite bathroom off a first-floor bedroom in order to shower. As this was not ideal, we redesigned the guest room's powder room-like ensiute into a fully functioning bathroom incorporating tropical ocean tones – resulting in a space that creates a sense of comfort and luxury for the family and their guests. In addition, there was limited clothes storage in the master bedroom which needed to be addressed. We did so by designing a floating robe suspended on a wall in the vast ensuite bathroom which previously had a mirror and a medium sized bench. The owners are delighted with the results, which turned a monolithic concrete structure into a warm, inviting home.
