Soaking in the rays
On this large mountain home by Condon Scott Architects, the concrete floors contribute to the wider rugged material palette but also serve a second purpose. With windows strategically positioned, the concrete floor acts as a heat sink – soaking in the sun’s rays by day to gradually release the heat back into the environment in the cooler evenings.
