This compact home is a further exploration of the simplicity and affordability that may be obtained with small home living, while still maintaining all the modern-day comforts and practicality of a larger home.
The home is planned as two pavilions linked by a breezeway dining room.
The larger pavilion comprises the public open plan living, mezzanine, media and guest bedroom.
The smaller pavilion offers the full comforts of a master bedroom suite.
Large cavity doors allow the rooms to interconnect and the home to open and grow.
This feature, combined with the double height living volume and large expanse of glazing dramatically increases the apparent size and quality of the spaces.
There are also a variety of covered verandas and courtyard spaces to track the sun or avoid the prevailing winds as required.
The beachside setting and simplistic design combine seamlessly to deliver a tranquil retreat and a perfect escape for the owners with space that is designed to effortlessly connect to its surroundings.
