Open-plan living spaces offer a relaxed, friendly environment for entertaining at home. However, a kitchen open to the living areas means taking care to ensure that cooking smells and noise from your rangehood don't overpower the dinner party conversation.

Smooth-Air Products presents a range of standard and custom options to help you achieve a healthy, clean-air kitchen one with less smell, less steam and markedly less noise, says national sales and marketing manager Vince Atkinson.

"We don't build the rangehood shell we leave that to the designer and home owner, who know the exact look they want. Instead, we offer custom extractor inserts to a high level of specification," Atkinson says. "These are designed with powerful fans set in the ceiling, or on exterior walls, out of earshot from living spaces. Systems can be configured to any shape including a cupboard giving a broad range of design options."

Smooth-Air Products also upgrades existing hoods, inserting quieter, more efficient mechanical elements. Standard inserts for flatpack kitchens are another design option from the company.

"Our simple, day-to-day goal is to create near-silent, fresh-air solutions for a range of modern interiors," says Atkinson.
