From the designer:

The brief was to enliven the senses whilst honouring the home’s traditional architecture in their master ensuite bathroom renovation. They desired a bathroom with an air of sophisticated elegance and a space or relaxation and renewal, including the use of a bath and separate shower zone, twin vanity and privacy to toilet zone.

Limiting the designs materials and hues created a traditional refined atmosphere. The crispness of the selected palette plays off the custom made shaker-styled hand-painted washstand. The beauty of the traditional detail of the custom made O’Gee mould natural stone vanity top provides a stunning impact to the bathroom, which is presented on entry into the space.

The freestanding bath was selected for its play on classic simple form and complements the chosen vanity bowls along with the simple vintage style faucets to honour the architectural context of the home.

Privacy is ensured to the toilet zone with the inclusion of a ¾ height wall, allowing for modesty without enclosure, ensuring the bathroom retains a sense of spaciousness.

The shower zone is positioned at the opposite end of the bathroom space, providing privacy behind a tiled wall.

The high gloss grey ‘stone’ tile provides a refined backbone for this bathroom palette and provides interest and elegance.

Ultimately the bathroom’s luxury is both seen and felt. Everything from the bespoke wax gilded mirror detail to the hand-blown glass mirror lights, ensures the bathroom provides a sense of sophisticated elegance that envelops the senses.
