The range of appliances is a good indicator of overall quality in a modern kitchen. These days, it's not uncommon for appliance branding to be a selling point in real estate advertisements.

Market trends indicate that many homeowners desire the sophisticated look of brushed and satin-finish stainless steel. However, while large appliances with a semi-commercial look often define a modern style, not all homeowners want to make such a bold statement, says Tony Sweeney, marketing manager of Fisher & Paykel Australia.

"Increasingly, kitchens are becoming more minimalist, with appliances concealed behind the cabinetry to enhance clean, fluid lines."

In response to this trend, Fisher & Paykel offers integration solutions for a number of its refrigerators, and its single and double DishDrawer dishwashers.

The integration option allows the refrigerator or DishDrawer to blend seamlessly with surrounding cabinetry, making the appliances look just like one of your kitchen cupboards or drawers, says Sweeney.

"Fisher & Paykel's range of appliances has been specially designed to complement a wide range of kitchen decors. Whether you want to showcase your kitchen with sleek finishes such as the new Iridium, or create clean lines by integrating appliances, there is a Fisher & Paykel product to suit."
