Restful retreat
This new master ensuite forms a mini-extension to the existing bedroom – hexagonal tiles and a frosted glass window create a quiet space that is still within earshot of the children

This project is a farmhouse in South West WA. There had been several alterations and additions over the years, which created awkward spaces and multiple doorways.
The family have four young children, and wanted a renovation to the existing house, as well as a modest extension off the existing master bedroom – which was to remain in close proximity to the children’s bedrooms.
Part of this was to create a new ensuite and additional robe for the master bedroom.
As this section of the house was a new addition, the homeowners wanted it to look like it had always been there. Responding to this, details such as window and door heights, frame styles, colours and finishes etc. needed to look seamless from outside, and consistent from inside.
The owners were also very keen to use all locally sourced products, fixtures and fittings.
