A windowless powder room with ornate glazed tiles splashed in sunlight from a skylight also boasts a dramatic curving wood entry

Designed by Kister Architects

From the architects:

Timber cladding defines the wet areas and public spaces in his new home.

The powder room sits at the heart of the home, welcoming guests as they arrive .

The home's interior scheme uses a bronze and green palette with timber lining to reference the origin of the 1970s modernist house, as well as utilising biophilic design principles.

The powder room sits in the circular entry between the public and private zones, servicing the entire home.

Timber cladding conceals the room behind a curved veneer door.

Inside, the space is wrapped in basketweave green and brown tiles and gold vinyl wallpaper, which shine under the skylight that spans the basin and WC

As the sun travels over the skylight, the light changes throughout the day , drawing many hues from the Japanese glazed tiles.
