Here, the owners sought everyday opulence – an expansive walk-in-wardrobe links to the ensuite one way and to the master bedroom the other way

Designed by Jordana Gurney, Cube Dentro

From the designer:

This design fulfils the vision of a busy family of five, aiming to add to their existing home with an extension that feels like a luxurious retreat without overspending.

Central to the project was seamlessly integrating the new space with the current structure, ensuring it felt elevated yet cohesive.

The owners desired everyday opulence, prioritising an expansive wardrobe linked to a stylish ensuite, bedroom, bar, and media/desk unit.

This space needed to balance practicality with indulgence, serving as a sanctuary offering separation from the main living areas.

The overarching aim was to elevate the family's daily experience with luxury, comfort, and functionality.

Material selection played a pivotal role in achieving this vision.

Ensuite tiles were chosen for their rich textures and a refined colour palette, complemented by brass tapware and accessories that add warmth and sophistication.

Dark woodgrain cabinetry provides contrast and ample storage, balanced by a porcelain benchtop that offers both high-end aesthetics and easy maintenance.

LED lighting enhances the ambiance, fulfilling the retreat-like atmosphere requested by the homeowners.

Consistency was maintained throughout the extension with unified cabinetry colours accented by brass elements and matching porcelain countertops.

Textured tiles and flooring, along with strategic LED lighting, ensure each area stands out without overwhelming the overall design impact.

In summary, this project successfully meets the multifaceted needs of a busy family seeking both practicality and luxury.

By harmonising materials and lighting, the design not only enhances daily living but also provides a cohesive, inviting environment tailored to the family's lifestyle.
