Furnishings for the Team McMillan project also had to reflect BMW Germany's new corporate identity programme, as well as meet the needs of the local customer base.

Kada Commercial Furniture won the contract to supply furniture and workstations in accordance with the design brief from interior designer Ella Rasumssen of Creative Spaces.

James Dodunski of Kada Commercial Furniture says the brief was to keep the feel of the workstations light and open.

"We incorporated large sheets of glass privacy panelling around desks to create this look."

In some workstations, the glass extends from above the desktop to the floor, so as a safety measure, it was fixed into channels in the floor.

Kada Commercial Furniture supplied desks finished with white Melteca tops and Schiavello Sesto base systems in a silver powdercoat finish. These were designed to co-ordinate with BMW Germany's worldwide corporate identity.
