A mixed palette of interior finishes adds visual interest, colour and texture throughout the underground station. These include Bisazza Italian glass mosaic tiles supplied by Jacobsen Creative Surfaces. The tiles are found on the walls of the public entrance and underground concourse, as well as in the public toilets.

The architect's brief was for a range of tiles that would complement the overall design of the station. Bisazza tiles were chosen because of their depth and clarity which is achieved using some of the finest sand in the world, says the company's marketing and product manager Renee Jacobsen

White and pale blue Bisazza tiles were supplied with bands of red, dark blue and green to indicate the three platforms. Insets of single white-gold tiles add focal points. The pale blue base throughout the station represents the corresponding sea level.
