The site was chosen in part for its panoramic outlooks, but passive control over the elements was also an important part of the eco-friendly design. Sensor-operated louvres screen out the hot summer sun, while admitting the winter sun on a lower trajectory. All interior fit-out items are non-toxic with low VOC and formaldehyde credentials. Carpets manufactured from natural, renewably sourced polymers are another feature in the home.
