Designed as an intimate room for a winters day or evening, this inglenook in a seaside home has a low ceiling. The original brick fireplace surround was replaced with copper sheeting. During the restoration, the house was also fully insulated to meet modern standards. The existing floorboards were sanded and refinished. The remodel was remodeled by architect Michael Barron-Wike.
