New home makes the most of sun, views and an unusual feature of the site

Architect Neal Schwartz says aspects of the symbiotic relationship between lichen and oak trees that he found on arriving at this site underpin the architecture of the home he designed for it. The most overt expression of this is the patterned aluminium trellis that frames the house on the pool side. This photo looks back from the pool, through the entranceway and front door, to the carport and oak trees at the front of the house.
