New home design on wooded site blurs the lines between indoors and outdoors

The design of this house contributes to passive thermal control of its interiors. A three-storey concrete wall on the front facade absorbs, stores and later releases heat, while the trees around the house provide natural shading. Balconies off the guest rooms also reduce the amount of solar transmission.
