A grand atrium forms a vertical spine on the east side of the Ngoolark student building at Edith Cowan University. The ceramic frit on the glass balustrading, which also references the overlapping features of the jindee honey-eater, provides a degree of privacy for the offices beyond. The sculptural artwork, titled Synapse, was a collaboration between Andrew Stumpfel and Sohan Ariel Hayes. Architecture by JCY Architects and Urban Planners.
