The owners of this Lockwood beach house chose off-white kitchen cabinetry, with a bright red accent in the colourbacked glass splashback (Resene Jalapeno) and a Black Galaxy granite benchtop. The mezzanine level in the open-plan living area accommodates a home office and second living area. The owners say having a visual link between this area and the main living space works especially well in a holiday home people can do their own thing without feeling isolated.
