Using the rods to suspend as well as support elements helps give a feeling of lightness to this interior, says designer Pan Yi Cheng. The long dining table has been torched to create a black finish that complements the black steelwork, the backpainted glass splashback and the dark kitchen cabinetry. All the concrete floors have a hand-trowelled finish, adding to the slightly distressed, semi-industrial ambience.
