Strength of character this apartment building has been transformed by stripping away a 1980s aesthetic and replacing it with a rugged skin of zinc cladding, raw concrete and timber. The new balconies bring an indoor-outdoor lifestyle to the upstairs and downstairs units, while perforated screens protect the interiors from weather extremes and the hot afternoon sun. The design is by architect Simon Rodrigues.
