Blissful Blue
There is a reason blue is one of the world’s most popular and versatile colors. Blue is a wonderfully soothing and heartwarming color that works well in almost any room. I love blue since it can be used in modern interiors as well as transitional- and traditional-style homes from coastal to French-country. Choosing lighter tones such as aqua or baby blue causes people to reminisce about the sky and ocean, which inspires tranquility and serenity. This is why my design team and I created a stunning, sky blue cook’s island for this kitchen. The bright color stands out against the wooden floors and surrounding white cabinetry, contributing as a truly bold statement piece.
