Classic shiplap finishes and Shaker-style cabinetry meet modern functionality in this seaside kitchen

With views to the ocean straight ahead and out to a lagoon to the side, this kitchen is designed in a traditional, almost Shaker style aesthetic. The kitchen, along with other joinery, finishes and detailing in the seaside home, was designed by Hither Consulting working closely with the whole-house architect Walter Barda Design. The blue tones on the island evoke the sea, while a large skylight overhead floods the kitchen in natural light.
