This bedroom in a new city house designed by Ong & Ong features a horizontal niche window behind the bed. The shape mitigates the suns rays, while bringing views and a degree of privacy. At the same time it provides a shelf for easy access from the bed. The static slat screens in this area also reflect a balance between admitting light and views, and retaining separation from neighbouring houses.
