The fully-furnished, luxury four bedroom home built to mark International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month has recently been sold at auction. Located in Appin, the home was assembled in just 28 days. It's an impressive home, especially so when you consider the build time. It features spacious living areas, contemporary stylings and large, comfortable bedrooms. Di Mez Real Estate sold the home, and noted significant interest from owner occupiers and investors alike.Director Dianne Meznaric explained that the four bedrooms, two bathrooms and open plan kitchen meant the home offered a great lifestyle for a family looking to move in.“Thanks to the generosity of many Build for a Cure partners, this home is being sold with an amazing list of inclusions such as major building upgrades from MJH, fully furnished and styled by Freedom Furniture and all appliances have generously been donated by Winning Appliances and Fisher & Paykel. Everything is included right down to the vacuum cleaner! With so much additional value, this home is a truly rare purchase opportunity for a savvy buyer.” Mrs Meznaric said.Prof Michelle Haber AM, executive director of the Children's Cancer Institute, noted that she was overwhelmed by the support from the various partners, local businesses, Rotary clubs and local tradespeople and volunteers.“Whilst there has been significant progress in improving survival rates for children with cancer, still every week on average three Australian children will die from their disease. All funds raised through this exciting campaign will allow us to research tailored therapies for high-risk child cancer patients across Australia.” said Prof Michelle Haber AM, Executive Director, Children’s Cancer Institute.Given the success of the project, there's certainly case for building another home like it in the near future.Find out moreChildren's Cancer InstituteBuild for a Cure
