Getting the proportions right is a key part of any interior design. A small item of furniture whether it is a lamp, table or fireplace will look wrong in a large space, and the opposite principle generally applies as well.

Real Fires has been designing and building gas fireplaces for almost ten years and includes a wide choice styles in its range. Director Ali Scott says the fires are available in a variety of sizes and heat outputs to suit different sized spaces and to complement the decor of the home.

The proportions of the RF1200 model featured here make it particularly well-suited to contemporary homes with lower ceilings, and also appropriate for both traditional and modern homes where living spaces are large.

Most Real Fires are available with a choice of modern or classic grates and with black or brushed stainless trim. Piezo ignition and variable gas control are standard features, and a convection fan is available as an option.

Real Fires can be installed into new homes or existing homes with new timber framing. They require no additional fireproofing around the box as they are supplied complete with an insulating kit to maximise safety and performance.
