Design Builders Waikato contemporary, high ceiling showhome features HardieGroove Lining, Axon Panel, and Villaboard Lining
Whether for resale peace of mind or simply the pleasure of having a home that keeps pace with your lifestyle down the years, choosing a solidly constructed home is a must.
James Hardie fibre cement products provide a key point of difference in Design Builders' first showhome at the Meadows in Hamilton. The architecturally designed home has been created to appeal to a range of buyers, including young families or couples.
Director of Design Builders Waikato, Jeff Marra, says that with the home's unique design and quality materials, he hopes to demonstrate to potential owners that they can achieve an individual outcome that's not only right for the moment, but that will adapt as their lives evolve.
"James Hardie's products are engineered to stand up beautifully over the years," says Marra. "The durability of the products featured in the showhome – including HardieGroove™ Lining, Axon® Panel, and Villaboard® Lining – achieve the desired design and performance levels expected of a Design Builders home.
"We wanted to create a modern design with a country twist," says Marra. "To achieve this, the showhome features a variety of textures, materials, and understated feature detailing."
James Hardie HardieGroove Lining has been used on internal walls to add interest to feature walls in the daybed area and entrance. This product reflects the charm of traditional tongue and groove timber panelling, but also has all the qualities of a modern James Hardie fibre cement product in terms of durability.
"As well as achieving the look we wanted, HardieGroove Lining gave us a hardwearing surface in high impact areas," says Marra.
James Hardie's Axon Panel has been used on the high raking internal ceilings to keep the grooves defined and achieve deeper lines, creating a feeling of lightness and space.
In the wet areas, Villaboard Lining provides a high performance solution.
"James Hardie engineered products have given us the look and functionality that we wanted, without the expense," says Marra.
