One of a kind from New Home Trends volume 2306
Tiles are one of the oldest and most versatile building materials known to man. Available in an endless combination of materials, colours and finishes, not only do they look good, they are also hypoallergenic.
Despite their obvious benefits, tiles have only recently undergone a revitalisation in New Zealand's residential market, says Tile Creations director Tracey McLeod.
"With our cold winters, tiles were relegated to utility areas. However, modern heating technology has seen them incorporated into our living areas."
For the Abodes by Tracey Lee show home, Warmup BOP was contracted to supply under-tile heating for the bathrooms, kitchen, dining and lounge rooms, says director Grant Honeyfield.
"Under-tile heating is a cost-effective radiant system that heats the floor surface when and where you need it. Without the need for traditional heaters, there is no danger to prying little fingers. Quick and easy to install, under-tile heating comes with a ten-year guarantee."
For details, contact Tile Creations, PO Box 10180, Mt Maunganui. Mobile 0274 747 636.
Or contact Warmup BOP, PO Box 4175, Mount Maunganui, freephone 0800 927 687.
Tile Creations laid more than 1000 porcelain and marble tiles throughout the Abodes by Tracey Lee show home.
Installed by Warmup BOP, the under-tile heating system is electronically controlled. Set-and-forget programming can be manually overridden to suit individual situations, making for a fully interactive system.
