Inviting interiors from Kitchen Trends volume 2208

Kitchens today are far more likely to form part of an open-plan living space than in years gone by. This means the design and materials need to reflect and enhance the existing character of your home.
The kitchens featured here are prime examples. Designed by David Stimmel of the Stimmel Consulting Group, these kitchens highlight both traditional and crisp, modern design aesthetics.
Stimmel says the kitchens illustrate the attention to detail that characterizes the company's work.
"We take a lot of care to provide an architectural solution that ensures a kitchen fits with the overall look of a client's home," he says. "And to provide continuity, we will often introduce similar cabinets to other areas, such as the dining or living room."
Stimmel says the company typically works within the structure of a design team, which can include architects, interior designers and homeowners.
The company has won more than 20 national design awards over the past few years, including Kitchen and Bath Business Magazine's Kitchen of the Year Award. Stimmel Consulting projects have also been featured on network television, and in more than 50 magazines.

This traditionally styled kitchen was designed by Stimmel Consulting Group. The cabinetry is designed to resemble furniture pieces, complete with ornate moldings and tiles.
