Curvaceous cuisine from Kitchen Trends volume 2610

With advancements in cooking options comes the need for optimal accessories. Now induction cooking has turned the humble trivet into a culinary work of art.
One of the most exciting products launched by Electrolux at the latest Eurocucina design fair in Milan is the sculptural E:Motion Trivet. This trivet overcomes the only shortfall of the highly efficient induction method of cooking – its previous ability to handle only pots and pans with flat bases.
The Asia-Pacific design team developed the piece to enable traditional wok cooking on the induction cooktops, says senior design manager of Electrolux Asia-Pacific Scott King.
"The E:Motion Trivet came about from talking to Electrolux customers in New Zealand, Australia, Asia and China, who wanted to embrace this form of cooking, but couldn't retain the same utensils for wok-style cooking," says King. "Having to move to a flat-bottomed wok when using an induction cooktop had been a sticking point for many clients."
The curvaceous shape of the E:Motion trivet distributes heat evenly across the sloping surface of a traditional wok, providing authentic results. While the E:Motion trivet makes a highly aesthetic contribution to the kitchen, its looks are matched by efficiency.

The recently released E:Motion trivet from Electrolux supports the company's tag line: thinking of you. The sculptural, innovative design came about in response to a need to bring together traditional wok cooking with modern induction cooking – with particular demand from the Asia-Pacific region.
