Out of the past from Kitchen Trends volume 2702
Designer Natalie Du Bois has balanced materials, form and colour to create this edgy, modern kitchen. Lighting was an important part of the design, with both uplighting and downlighting drawing attention to the central feature – the rangehood.
A tabletop made of recycled floorboards had several benefits for the designer and homeowners. As well as referencing the home's origins, it ensures a part of the house made redundant by the renovations lives on in another role. The table also makes a direct connection to the floorboards retained in this area.
